About Joel
I am a qualified Sports Performance Nutritionist with an MSc in Physiology and Nutrition of Sport and Exercise from Loughborough University and BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from Swansea University.

As an endurance athlete myself I've participated in a range of events including 10km's, half marathons, marathons and ultra marathons, while balancing strength training and other sports I enjoy playing. Training for these events has given me first hand experience of the difficulties of training, racing and recovery, while trying to balance work and your social life at the same time!

Nutrition is a component that can easily be overlooked, but is so important to get right to allow you to thrive in all aspects of your life, not just in your sport. I am a strong believer that food should not only be used as a tool for training and racing, but should be enjoyed day to day. I bring this thought process into my work as a nutritionist. While working with you I will provide practical and realistic advice, based on the current scientific nutritional guidelines that will help you to thrive in training, race day and assist in recovery so that you can not only perform your best but can also thrive in day to day life alongside your training!
